Fixed Cost Cremation Packages
At Wollongong City Funerals, we understand that many in our community are looking for certainty when they are considering a funeral for a loved one.
We have been providing funerals for our community for over 40 years. With our knowledge and experience, we have designed a number of fully fixed-cost cremation packages which, we believe, cater to a variety of tastes, circumstances, and budgets±. Fully Tailored Funerals
Alternatively, you may wish to fully tailor the funeral to meet your exact needs. The cost of a funeral can vary considerably, depending on the decisions you make about the style of the coffin, floral tributes, and catering (to name a few).
There are certain costs that remain the same for any funeral. That’s your starting point. You then add the various options that you choose to make the funeral just right for you.
Basic Fixed Costs (for funerals conducted Monday to Friday)
- Service Fee
All funerals incur a fixed service fee. Unlike other providers, we choose to show you one fee for our services that is inclusive of many items others would consider to be 'optional'.
Depending on the style of funeral service you choose, at Wollongong City Funerals, this tailored service fee may include the use of our chapel and the use of a room for refreshments. The fee also covers the administration and coordination of all activities related to the funeral service, mortuary care, and transportation of your loved one*. We also include a memorial book and digital recording of the funeral service^ as part of this fee.
Unlike some other funeral homes, Wollongong City Funerals include the transfer of the deceased within the Greater Sydney, Illawarra, and Shoalhaven during business hours at no additional charge. - A Coffin
By law, we must present your loved one in a coffin for their final committal (burial or cremation). Wollongong City Funerals have a range of coffins to suit most tastes and budgets.
- General Disbursements
[Fixed costs for other people/places involved in the funeral]. This includes:
- Cremation Fee (Mountain View Crematoria www.mvc.net.au)
- Doctors’ Fees for Cremation (No fee for Coroner’s cases)
- Copy of Death Registration Certificate
Options
You may decide that you prefer a different coffin, or that you would like to include refreshments or a funeral celebrant. You might also like Wollongong City Funerals to organise a Life Story Presentation of photos showing various aspects of your loved one’s life.
Other options include the size and style of floral arrangements, after-hours prayers/viewing; public notices, and a mourning car for family members to attend the funeral service.

Due to a number of factors, we specifically do not provide any warranty or guarantee that the funeral recording will work for every funeral.
